Latest Update: SABS PVoC Program

Dear Valued Client

Please note the latest update from SABS regarding the implementation of the Pre-export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) Program for imports from China.

SABS has confirmed that China Certification & Inspection Group Inspection Co., Ltd (CCIC) remains the appointed Conformity Assessment Body for Phase 1 implementation in China. However, CCIC is still awaiting the necessary regulatory approvals and implementation clearances from the relevant Chinese authorities before exporter registration and onboarding can commence. As a result, the CCIC registration portal has not yet been activated and exporters/suppliers are requested to await further communication from SABS before taking any action.

SABS and the Department of Trade continue to work closely with stakeholders to ensure implementation readiness and a smooth transition process. SABS has also indicated that there is currently no cause for concern during this preparatory phase and that further guidance will be issued as developments progress.
