Dear Valued Client
National Protest Action:
Reports indicate that protest action has been planned for Tuesday 30th June 2026, with KZN identified as a potential area of disruption. While there has been no official confirmation of any impact on port operations, several of our transport service providers have advised that they will either be holding back truck movements or closing operations for the day as a precaution to safeguard their drivers and equipment. As a result, container collections and deliveries may be delayed, particularly where road transport is affected.
Our team will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep clients informed of any significant developments
Driver Verification Process:
Please be advised that from 1 July 2026, Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) will implement Phase 2 of its Driver Truck Management System at Durban Container Terminal Pier 1 and the Durban Multi-Purpose Terminal. Under the new requirements, all truck drivers collecting or delivering containers must complete a mandatory induction and provide supporting documentation. As the new verification process is introduced, we anticipate delays particularly during the initial rollout period. Our team will communicate any delays per shipment basis.
