Transnet – Fuel Neutrality Update Effective 1 June 2026

Dear Valued Client

Please take note that Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) will implement a Fuel Neutrality Charge of R78 per container for all vessels berthing from 01 June 2026. The surcharge will apply to all import, export, and transshipment containers handled through Container and Multi-Purpose Terminals, regardless of container size or type.

Please note that this charge will be billed separately from the normal Terminal Handling Charges (THC) and remains variable based on monthly fuel index reviews conducted by TPT.

We recommend clients take this additional cost into account for upcoming shipments.
